The people have left, the lights have been dimmed, and the Library has gone to bed. Or so the grown-ups think!
Sneak in with your teddy bear, wear your favourite jammies and snuggle up for an enchanting storytime after dark in the Pauline Gandel Children’s Quarter. Listen to twilight tales and join in on soothing songs and lullabies as the sun sets.
After everyone has left, join in for a free craft activity or wander through the Library under the cover of darkness by booking your spot in our Torchlit Tours. In these tours, you’ll journey on an exciting, guided adventure through our famous Reading Rooms and galleries. Afterwards, each kid will receive a paper lantern to light their way back home. Add-on a Torchlit Tour to your Storytime After Dark session for just $10 per person.
Don’t miss out – book your tickets now.
Please note: This is a children’s event, most suitable for ages 3-8 years. All grown-ups must be accompanied by a child. Maximum of two grown-ups per child.
We will be reading the same children’s book for both the 17 July and 13 August date Storytime: After Dark sessions.
Presented with Museums Victoria as part of Playbound Festival
